Universitas Airlangga is open to partnership initiatives, both domestic and international, be it from higher education institutions, or even corporations, companies, non-profit organisations and research centres alike. With the exception of research partnership initiatives, all partnership initiatives are currently being managed within Sub-Directorate of Global Partnerships of Airlangga Global Engagement.
Global Partnerships
Global partnerships subdivision deals with international agreements as well global strategic initiatives.
There are two ways to initiate international partnerships with us, by:
- completing the institutional partnership form below, then:
- reach out to our global agreement and consortium team to propose an agreement; or
- reach out to our global strategic initiatives team to arrange online meeting and/or schedule visits to our university.
- or, making peer-to-peer contacts with our faculty members.
Our partners list below indicates institutions overseas that already signed agreements with UNAIR, for your reference.
Any international agreement initiated with the intention of facilitating university-to-university collaborations, or inter-institutional cooperations in general is referred to as Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), and expected to be non-legally binding. MOUs shall serve as a general framework which may be expanded to a separate legally binding agreement in the near future.
Per Indonesian Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology’s regulations, all MOUs in our university must be signed in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Since the agreement covers inter-institutional cooperations, MOUs are signed by our Rector. Exceptions are made for university-wide agreements specifically facilitating student mobility (Student Exchange Agreement), which can be requested to be signed by our Director of Airlangga Global Engagement.
Any international agreement inititated on the basis of faculty-to-faculty cooperations are referred to as Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), and are expected to be legally binding.
Per Indonesian Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology’s regulations, all MOAs in our university must be signed in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Since the agreement covers faculty-level collaborations, MOAs are signed by our faculty’s respective Deans.
MOAs at UNAIR consist of:
- Memorandum of Agreement on Academic Cooperation, which covers student mobility and/or staff mobility, as well as specific obligations of the parties;
- Double Degree Framework Agreement, which specifically covers the double degree, joint degree and/or dual degree programmes.
