Airlangga Joint Class Program

Program Description

The Joint Class program was officially initiated by Universitas Airlangga in 2022 by adopting the concept of ‘Collaborative Online International Learning’ or briefly referred to as ‘COIL’. COIL is an innovative system to engage students in a shared, online multicultural and collaborative learning environment. This program offers opportunities for academics (lecturers and students) to interact with fellow academics (peers) and practitioners, both at home and partner institutions. This concept expects the academics to develop intercultural competencies and digital skills through collaborative learning activities. Each nominated applicant collaborates with partner universities abroad, of which the courses or programs have equivalent courses or programs at Universitas Airlangga.

As Joint Class has successfully unfolded in 2022 and 2023, this program returns once again in 2024. This year, it will take place in a hybrid format, combining offline and online meetings. It aims to enrich the learning experience for participants and maximize opportunities for active engagement both in the physical classroom and through virtual means.

The indicators of the assessments involved three aspects:

  1. Suitability: Conformity with the learning rules.
  2. Feasibility: Relevancy and eligibility of the academic program.
  3. Implementation: Synchronization and relevance of the budget, resources, and timeline.

  2. Incentives IDR 30.000.000
