Socio Culture Visa (Index B211A) is the visa that can be used for international visitors who intend to visit Indonesia for Lectures, short Internship programs, Short Courses, Arts, Meetings, Volunteer programs, Sport Activities, visiting family, and other related social activities.
Social-Cultural Visa (Single Entry) will allow you a maximum stay of 60 (sixty) days for each visit. This type of visa can be extended at the Indonesian Immigration Office up to 4 (four) times, with each extension for a maximum of 30 (thirty) days each time.
What are the required documents to apply for Socio Culture Visa?
- Scanned identity page of passport (minimum active passport 6 months)

How to apply for Socio Cultural Visa
- Students send the required documents for Study Permit to AGE
- Students inform AGE regarding the visa registration destination (Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia)
- AGE will send inquiry letter and sponsor’s id to students for applying visa
- Students apply visa in Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia
How to extend Socio Cultural Visa
- Submitting passport and visa extension fee (IDR 700.000) to AGE 2 weeks before by the latest
- Taking photo and scanning biometric in immigration office (only for 1st extention)
- Taking passport and check the visa validity

Student Visa/VITAS (Index C316) is a multiple entry visa whose its validity is 30 days after the arrival of the visa holder. Student Visa/VITAS (Index C316) is required for international students who will pursue their education in Indonesia for more than 6 months and it must be converted to KITAS (Limited Stay Permit).
How to apply for Student Visa
- Students send the required documents for Study Permit to AGE
- Students inform AGE regarding the visa registration destination (Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General)
- AGE will apply for Study Permit and Telex Visa
- AGE will send inquiry letter, Study Permit, Telex Visa and sponsor’s id (once they are issued) to students for applying visa
- Issuing visa in Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia (Student)
Convertion Process of Student Visa to KITAS
- Once the students arrived in Indonesia, the student visa must be converted into KITAS within a month
- After orientation week, students submit the passport to AGE
- AGE will submit all the required documents for KITAS conversion to immigration office
- AGE will inform the students regarding the schedule of taking photo and scanning biometric
- AGE will inform the students to pick their passports to AGE office
- AGE will provide other supporting documents for living permit in Surabaya
How to extend KITAS
- Students submit the required documents for study permit and KITAS extension at least a month before the KITAS expires. The documents are:
– Original passport
– Scanned of health certificate
– Scanned of police registration report
– Scanned of temporary residential card (SKTT)
– Photo in red background
– Scanned of latest transcript - AGE will apply for study permit at Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia
- After the study permit issued, AGE will apply for KITAS extension in immigration office
- Students will be informed by AGE regarding the schedule for taking photo and scanning biometric in immigration office
- Students may pick the passport in AGE office

Before leaving Indonesia (after finish the study) KITAS holders are required to deactivate the KITAS by applying Exit Permit Only (EPO) or Exit Re-entry Permit (ERP).
Exit Permit Only (EPO)
For KITAS holder, they need to proceed Exit Permit Only (EPO) before leaving Indonesia for the last time. It takes IDR 100.000. This process is to deactivate the KITAS. Students who wish to disable their KITAS must report to AGE office 15 days before their departure and prepare the documents as follows:
- Original Passport
- Return ticket to origin country
Exit Re-Entry Permit
the Exit Re-entry Permit (ERP) is also used to disable your KITAS, but after your departure from Indonesia. It takes IDR 100.000. AGE will provide assistance to process the ERP, and send the ERP letter once its finish. To apply ERP, these are required documents as follows:
- Scanned of Return ticket to origin country
- Scanned of Departure stamp
- Scanned of Boarding pass
