B. Indonesian Language Program

The Airlangga Development Scholarship (ADS) Program emphasizes the utilization of the Indonesian language as its medium of instruction. As such, prospective students are required to have a foundational proficiency in the Indonesian language, evidenced by obtaining a certificate indicating at least an A1 level of proficiency. To facilitate this language requirement for candidates unfamiliar with the Indonesian language, Universitas Airlangga offers an online learning platform known as the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). 

Here are the outlined procedures for candidates to fulfil the Indonesian language proficiency requirement through the MOOC: 

1. Preparation Phase: Prospective applicants are advised to commence their Indonesian language studies well in advance of the ADS Program registration, with a recommended timeframe of up to three months prior to the program’s commencement. 
2. Language Proficiency Test: Candidates are required to diligently engage with and complete all the requisite language proficiency tests available on the MOOC platform. Successful completion of these assessments, culminating in obtaining a certificate, is mandatory for verification of language proficiency. The attained certificate should reflect a minimum proficiency level of A1 in the Indonesian language.
3. Accessing the MOOC Platform:  
   • Candidates are required to create an account through Airlangga Global Engagement’s Dashboard by accessing this link

• • Once the username and password are received, Candidates are directed to access the UNAIR’s MOOC platform through the provided link to initiate their language learning journey:  https://bit.ly/MOOCUNAIR.

C. How to Apply?

2. Choose English as the website language
3. Sign up for an account
4. Choose Master (ADS-WNA) for Master Program, Degree/Doctor (ADS-WNA) for PhD Program
5. Submit all the required documents

• Eligibilities

1. 1. Holding a bachelor’s degree for applying master’s degree, with a minimum GPA equal to or more than 3.00 on a 4.00 scale  
   2. Holding a master’s degree for applying doctor’s degree, with a minimum GPA equal to or more than 3.00 on a 4.00 scale  
   3. Having good English skills. 
   4. Having Indonesian language skills at least A1 level. 
   5. Healthy, proven by a health certificate. 
   6. Commit to following and/or complying with all aspects of the program after being appointed as a nominee. 
   7. Physically and emotionally able to complete the program. 
   8. Applicants are not currently active at other universities in Indonesia (as stated in the statement letter). 
   9. Applicants are not currently receiving other scholarships in Indonesia either from universities/institutions/government (as stated in the statement letter). 
   10. Foreign citizens must have a Permit/Approval Letter from the Indonesian Government in accordance with its authority, if they have been accepted as prospective students at UNAIR. 
   11. Have a research topic. If you don’t have a research topic, you will be directed to access the UNAIR research platform which contains research topics at UNAIR along with a list of UNAIR academics who can serve as promoters. 
   12. Must have adequate health status so that it does not interfere with the smooth learning process in the chosen study program, which is determined by the Universitas Airlangga’s Health Team. 
   13. Must have a Cooperation document in the form of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) or Implementation Agreement (IA). (optional)
