Center for Indonesian Studies – Universitas Airlangga and Asia University

In the year of 2018, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) and Asia University (AU) initiated to establish the Center for Indonesian Studies in AU, Taichung, Taiwan. This center aims to strengthen cooperation between universities in Indonesia, especially UNAIR and Taiwanese universities to promote the culture, language, history, and geography of each country. Therefore, starting from 2019, UNAIR has sent several books written by UNAIR lecturers as literature collection and to be displayed in the center. Throughout the year, several academic and cultural activities had been conducted in this center to support the promotion of Indonesian language and culture to the AU’s academia namely, guest lectures in various fields delivered by UNAIR lecturers as well as Training of Trainers of Bahasa Indonesia course. In the research field, UNAIR and AU have managed to support 10 (ten) researchers from UNAIR to conduct joint research with AU’s researchers on multidiscipline researches in 2019.
