Strategic Meeting with Kathmandu University

AGE NEWS – Universitas Airlangga and Kathmandu University held a strategic meeting on Thursday, June 6th to discuss collaboration between two universities. In order to gain international ranking, Prof. Subodh shared his wish to collaborate with Indonesian universities, especially Universitas Airlangga. Prof. Subodh also stated that it will be the first collaboration because both universities had never signed any agreements before.

The discussion was about PhD and undergraduate student exchange programs. Universitas Airlangga offered “Tailor-Made Program” for PhD students as well as AMERTA and LINGUA Program for undergraduate students. On the other hand, Kathmandu University also offered an internship program for UNAIR students to do lab activities in the field of water quality in Kathmandu University—with housing, food, and insurance provided by them.

During a meeting that was also attended by Prof. Iman Harymawan, Aprillia Putri and Sasmitha Anggareni from Airlangga Global Engagement. Kathmandu University also shared their interest in collaborating with the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics and Business. In the future, if both universities already have strong ties, Kathmandu University would like to hold joint conferences with Universitas Airlangga. It will be beneficial for both of them to collaborate as global partners.
